Due to the COVID-19 Emergency in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in-person reporting is being temporarily suspended. In order to allow registrants to remain compliant with registration requirements and to expedite the processing of information, only residential, employment and school address verifications are being required at this time.

During the COVID-19 Emergency, if any registered sex offender needs to change or update previously reported information, a paper update form has been developed to be utilized during this timeframe. This form is to be used ONLY for changes to previously reported information. The form must be mailed to the Pennsylvania State Police, Megan’s Law Section, 1800 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

**NOTE—If an individual is unable to go to work due to the COVID-19 Stay at Home orders, but intends to return when permitted, no employment update is required.**

If an individual is not able to access the form, the individual must contact the Megan’s Law Section at 866-771-3170.

Changes to information must be reported within three business days, in accordance with 42 Pa. C.S. Chapter 97. Failure to report changes as required could lead to criminal penalties under 18 Pa. C.S. §4915.1 or §4915.2.

When an individual’s scheduled appearance date nears, correspondence with additional instructions will be mailed to the individual.

Any individual who is required to register as a sex offender in accordance with 42 Pa. C.S. Chapter 97 and requires a new registration (i.e. never registered, first time reporting in PA) must contact the Megan’s Law Section at 866-771-3170.

New The Pennsylvania State Police has released the latest edition of the annual report, which provides statistics and information concerning the registration of sexual offenders in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Click here to view the report.

The Pennsylvania State Police is now offering an Electronic Notification System. This system will allow a user to sign-up to receive email notification(s) that are specific to their selection of the following email notification options:

  1. Receive update(s) for sexual offenders whom have changed their Pennsylvania residence, employment, or school information located within the designated radius of the address(s) that was selected by the recipient.
  2. Monitor / track a specific sexual offender and receive email notification(s) when certain changes occur for the sexual offender on the website.
*Our service uses email as a primary notification mechanism. If you don't have an email address, we DO NOT send direct mail or text information at this time.

To register to receive electronic notifications click the Register link at the top of the page. To access an existing account select the Log In link at the top of the page.

The Search Offenders tab located at the top of the page allows you to search for offenders by county, municipality, city, zip code, mile radius, name, non-compliant offenders, Sexually Violent Predators, Sexually Violent Delinquent Children, and transient offenders.

The Pennsylvania State Police does not provide information on certain Sexually Violent Predators, Sexually Violent Delinquent Children, or sexual offenders who are currently incarcerated for a sexual offense and have not met the legal requirement for Megan’s Law registration. The Pennsylvania State Police does provide information on previously registered Sexually Violent Predators, Sexually Violent Delinquent Children or sexual offenders who are re-incarcerated for a parole or probation violation or for a new crime.

The listing on this website is only for the individuals currently registered with the Pennsylvania State Police as active sexual offenders pursuant to Pennsylvania ’s Megan’s Law. This website does not list information for every individual ever arrested or convicted of a sex-related offense.
